The house and how many it sleeps

How many people can stay?

Thirteen at most: eleven beds across five bedrooms, plus two extra beds provided free of charge. From the age of three, a child counts as an adult.

Can we rent part of the house only?

No. The villa is rented whole, to one group at a time. You will never share it with other travellers.

Where exactly is the villa?

In the countryside outside Essaouira, among olive and argan trees. The town and the beach are fifteen minutes away by car, the medina twenty-two, and Essaouira-Mogador airport twenty-seven.

How many kitchens are there?

Two. A fully equipped indoor kitchen open to the dining room, and an outdoor kitchen with sink, oven and barbecue looking over the pool and the garden.

Is there a space for yoga?

Yes: an eight-sided wooden pavilion standing alone in the garden, with mats and cushions. It doubles as a workshop room for training courses and company retreats, and can be set up with tables and a screen on request.

Your stay

What is the minimum stay?

Three nights, in any season.

What time can we arrive and leave?

Check-in from 4 pm, check-out by 11 am. The keys are handed to you in person, and our concierge is flexible whenever possible.

Is breakfast included?

Yes, for every guest and throughout your stay: a Moroccan breakfast, served at the house. Flaky msemen, baghrir pancakes with their thousand holes, semolina harcha and khobz bread straight from the oven, butter, honey, amlou made with almonds and argan oil, olive oil and olives, eggs, fresh cheese, and mint tea that never stops coming. Coffee with milk for those who prefer it. Vegetarian, vegan, halal, kosher and gluten-free options are covered.

Can we ask for other meals or activities?

Yes, and it is what the house does best. Lunches and dinners cooked on site, a cook for the length of your stay, daily cleaning, transfers, car hire, massages at the villa, excursions, babysitting, restaurant bookings: any extra service can be arranged by our concierge. Ask, even for something not listed on this page.

Is linen provided?

Yes, sheets and towels are included, along with bathrobes, slippers, hairdryers and toiletries. There is a washing machine, a dryer, an iron and a drying rack on site.

Is there staff during the stay?

A caretaker is on site throughout, included in the rate. Daily cleaning and a cook are available at extra cost.

Are children welcome?

Very much so. Cots and extra beds free on request, children’s tableware, and babysitters we can recommend.

Pool, hammam and garden

Is the pool heated in winter?

Yes. The 12 by 6 metre pool is private, heated and open all year, with a jacuzzi alongside and a private hammam in the house.

Is the garden safe for children?

The garden of more than 5,000 m² is fully walled and not overlooked. As everywhere, children near the pool and jacuzzi remain the responsibility of their parents.

House rules

Can we hold a wedding or a large party?

No. We host no weddings and no large parties, out of respect for our neighbours. It is a firm rule, and it is also what makes the place valuable: here, people sleep. Families, groups of friends, company retreats and yoga groups find a quiet they do not find elsewhere.

Can we play music in the evening?

Outside, until midnight. After midnight the evening carries on indoors, with no time limit. The house is large: nobody will send you to bed.

Can we bring a pet?

Yes, with the concierge’s written agreement before booking. Just tell us what kind of animal it is.

Can we smoke?

Not indoors. The garden and the terraces are yours.

Booking and getting here

How much does the villa cost?

From €500 a night for the whole villa, Moroccan breakfast included — under €40 per person when you are thirteen. Rates vary by season and length of stay. An end-of-stay cleaning fee of €120 is added to every booking.

How does payment work?

A deposit of 20% of the total confirms your booking. The balance is due 72 hours before arrival, or in cash on the day you arrive.

Is there a security deposit?

Yes, €1,500 on direct bookings, returned after the check-out inspection. It is the counterpart of renting a whole house, with its furniture and equipment.

What if we have to cancel?

Up to 30 days before arrival, half of what you have paid is refunded. After that we cannot refund: the villa takes one group at a time, and the week stays blocked for you.

Do you arrange airport transfers?

Yes, from Essaouira-Mogador and from Marrakech, along with car hire, activities and restaurant bookings.

Do we need a car?

Not necessarily — the concierge handles journeys. A car does make the days freer, and parking at the villa is private and free.
